One of this summer’s best projects for Cherry Blossom Creative? Getting to work with the 14th Street Uptown Business Association in organizing their Summer of the Arts. I’ll be doing branding, web, maps, and promotional material so keep an eye out for that, especially if you’re in the 16th St. Heights/Petworth area!

Tonight’s project was finishing up their logo (full disclosure – still in draft form). It’s a 14th St. streetscape, with the terracotta tiling you find up by Decatur. 14th St Heights has beautiful tree-lined streets and a ton of best-kept-secret local businesses (if you haven’t had brunch at the Highlands, you’re missing out on the best breakfast sandwiches in Petworth). It’s going to be amazing watching an ArtPlace grant transform the neighborhood into a cultural center this summer.

I’ll also be leading the painting a community mural at the Upshur Pool on June 2nd (mark your calendars!) with kids and parents attending the Friends of the 16th St Heights Parks ice cream social. Want to volunteer with the mural painting? Contact me here.
