PFAU is a collection of antique and global textiles, home goods and accessories curated by Carola and Natalie Pfau based in Austin, Texas. Cherry Blossom Creative put together branding and hang tags for PFAU using colors and textures of Japanese indigo, which is one of the many textiles they carry on their beautiful shop. ‘Pfau’ means ‘peacock’ in German, so the peacock feather in the style of a Japanese seal was a natural choice for their brand.

In step with the Japanese styles of simplicity and clarity, PFAU’s business cards were designed to be sparse and elegant. Their focus on texture was continued in the background of their cards, which featured a handmade paper texture and light striping.
PFAU also needed hang tags for their clothing, textiles, and accessories to be used at trade shows. Cherry Blossom Creative made a tag with an antique Japanese indigo background and simple, clean areas for handwritten description and pricing.
